Vacancy

Our job vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly, without involvement from staffing agencies or recruiters. We do not consider freelancers; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

As a Technical Manager Sr at TILLEN, you are responsible for the quality, structure, and technical content of all our engineering processes. You are the technical conscience of the organization, ensuring that our tailor-made solutions for the transport and handling of heavy and complex loads, both onshore and offshore, are always of the highest quality. You safeguard and optimize our technical processes with a sharp focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation. In this role, you continuously evaluate and improve the technical choices within our projects and play a key role in developing and maintaining our technical expertise. Additionally, you conduct technical evaluations and design validations, ensuring that technical designs meet feasibility, manufacturability, and quality standards. You also support operational tasks such as budget calculations and the preparation of technical descriptions for proposals.

In this position, you work closely with project managers and team leaders, but your primary focus is on professionalizing and scaling up our technical organization. You mentor a relatively young team of engineers, helping them grow professionally by coaching and supporting them in developing complex technical solutions. With your experience and knowledge, you are an expert who refines technical decisions and identifies and implements innovations within mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You play an important role in the further development of our team and the organization as a whole.

You will join an ambitious working environment where collaboration and innovation are central. Our engineering team is young, driven, and eager to learn, and we are constantly working on improving our technical processes and developing smart, tailor-made solutions for our clients. Within TILLEN, you will have the opportunity to make your mark on the technical direction of the organization and actively contribute to the growth and professionalization of the team. Together, we work on challenging projects that demand creative, efficient, and high-quality technical solutions.

If you enjoy coming up with technical solutions, helping young engineers grow, and find it a challenge to guide an organization and continuously improve it, then this is the job for you.

Technical Manager Sr

On an enjoyable workday, you come up with and present solution approaches based on your technical knowledge and experience. At the same time, you mentor young engineers and ensure that the organization is preparing for future market needs.

On a less enjoyable workday, you are dealing with a design that was not executed properly and where corrections need to be made. Although this is unpleasant, it presents an opportunity to do better next time.

Firsthand experience

A client presents a problem that requires a technical solution and already has an idea of what the solution should be, but you have a completely different perspective. What do you do?

In this situation, it’s important to first thoroughly analyze the problem together with the client and fully understand it. You take a step back and examine the challenge from different angles. By not approaching the problem solely from the proposed solution, but instead adopting a broader perspective, you often arrive at a better solution. You discuss this new solution with the client and involve your team for additional input, so you can provide the most efficient and effective solution.

Growth

There's no rigid format for your career path. Depending on your ambitions, experience, and needs within the company, you can develop in various directions. TILLEN is growing rapidly, and we want our colleagues to benefit from this growth and grow with us. We allocate budget and time to ensure everyone thrives in a challenging environment where they can excel.

Technical Manager Sr

Working at TILLEN

Our vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly without involvement from staffing agencies and recruiters. We do not engage with freelancers either; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

TILLEN was founded in 2007 by three enthusiastic engineers with a passion for heavy constructions and lifting equipment. The company designs and delivers customized solutions for the safe and efficient handling of heavy constructions, such as those for wind farms, contributing to the energy transition. The team comprises experts in mechanical engineering and structural engineering. By pooling these skills, tailored solutions are created, manufactured, and implemented for handling heavy and unwieldy loads. The expertise extends beyond heavy lifting, serving various markets. Designs range from specialized equipment to supporting structures and other handling devices with diverse applications. In addition to engineering, an increasing part of our activities involves manufacturing our designs, ultimately delivering complete solutions to customers. This process includes visiting the manufacturing workshop, devising and conducting tests, and participating in the final acceptance by the customer.

In addition to vacancies for Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and Structural Engineers, we are always looking for CAD Engineers, Design Engineers, and Project Managers. Please send your application to Jeroen.van.hees@tillen.com
