Vacancy

As a CAD Engineer at TILLEN, you are responsible for the development and integrity of 3D designs. You start with the basic design and develop it into a detailed design by following the design checklists relevant to the industry we operate in. Active communication and interdisciplinary collaboration are important to deliver the optimal final product to our clients. You ensure the quality and proper setup of production drawings and 3D models, which serve as the final deliverables.

With the final CAD models, you prepare the technical drawings in collaboration with the Design Engineer and ensure that the checking workflow is followed once the final drawings are set up. You process the results of the checks and provide the project owner with the final deliverables. Keeping up with the latest production methods and CAD skills is what helps you grow into your role. You will be a part of the Design Department, working closely with your colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes.

If you enjoy developing and optimizing complex 3D designs, and don't mind working closely with different disciplines and adhering to strict quality standards, then this is the job for you.

Working week

CAD Engineer

On an enjoyable workday, you begin with a clear project kickoff, collaborating closely with Structural and Design Engineers to refine the design. You review the initial design for manufacturability and seamlessly navigate through details, ensuring the final solution is production-feasible.

On a less enjoyable workday, delays from the client create uncertainty that hinders the engineering process. It requires active replanning, and the clarity of tasks for the week can become unclear, leading to potential confusion.

Firsthand experience

During a project design phase, you might receive the handover from basic to detailed design. What do you do?

You start by thoroughly reviewing the basic design to understand its structure and requirements. You then set up the CAD model, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and project specifications. You perform detailed clash checks to identify and resolve any potential issues, collaborating with the Design Engineer and other team members as needed. By maintaining clear communication and following a structured workflow, you ensure the model is optimized for production, providing the project owner with a reliable and accurate final deliverable.

Growth

There's no rigid format for your career path. Depending on your ambitions, experience, and needs within the company, you can develop in various directions. Working at TILLEN

Our vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly without involvement from staffing agencies and recruiters. We do not engage with freelancers either; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

TILLEN was founded in 2007 by three enthusiastic engineers with a passion for heavy constructions and lifting equipment. The company designs and delivers customized solutions for the safe and efficient handling of heavy constructions, such as those for wind farms, contributing to the energy transition. The team comprises experts in mechanical engineering and structural engineering. By pooling these skills, tailored solutions are created, manufactured, and implemented for handling heavy and unwieldy loads. The expertise extends beyond heavy lifting, serving various markets. Designs range from specialized equipment to supporting structures and other handling devices with diverse applications. In addition to engineering, an increasing part of our activities involves manufacturing our designs, ultimately delivering complete solutions to customers. This process includes visiting the manufacturing workshop, devising and conducting tests, and participating in the final acceptance by the customer.

In addition to vacancies for Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and Structural Engineers, we are always looking for CAD Engineers, Design Engineers, and Project Managers. Please send your application to tim.huele@tillen.com.
