Vacancy

Our job vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly, without involvement from staffing agencies or recruiters. We do not consider freelancers; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

As a Sales Engineer at TILLEN, you will be responsible for managing customer inquiries and converting them into commercial proposals for customized solutions. You will receive customer requests, carefully evaluate them, and gather necessary information to outline the quotation process. Working independently and in collaboration with Engineers, you will formulate technical solutions that meet customer needs. When necessary, you will provide detailed preliminary designs that outline manufacturing costs and convincingly present operational principles.

Additionally, you will oversee the entire quotation process from request to contract negotiations. This includes receiving requests, preparing them, obtaining quotations from relevant parties, and explaining these quotations to the customer. You will also engage actively in customer visits and maintaining relationships to build sustainable bonds with clients.

You will become a part of the Sales team, collaborating directly with the CEO, Project Managers, and Team Leaders from various disciplines.

If you enjoy using your creativity and technical insight and find effective communication challenging, then this is the job for you.

Working week

Sales Engineer

On a good workday, you receive a non-specific request from a client that you transform into a surprising solution exceeding everyone's expectations. This not only brings personal satisfaction but also energizes the team.

On a less enjoyable workday, you face limited freedom from your client, focusing solely on price and delivery time. Keeping the team motivated becomes a challenge.

Firsthand experience

The client has posed a question that cannot be answered with a standard off-the-shelf solution. What do you do?

You collaborate with an Engineer to evaluate the inquiry and engage with the client to gain better insight into the background, challenges, and added value. Subsequently, you develop a plan, allocating time for preliminary design, identifying involved suppliers, and establishing a timeline for the proposal. This proposal is then scheduled in consultation with Team Leaders alongside ongoing work.

Growth

No rigid format is followed for your career path. Depending on your ambitions, experience, and needs within the company, you can develop in various directions. TILLEN is experiencing significant growth, and we aim for our colleagues to benefit and grow with us. To support this, we provide budget and time so that everyone can flourish in a challenging environment where they can excel.

Sales Engineer

Working at TILLEN

Our vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly without involvement from staffing agencies and recruiters. We do not engage with freelancers either; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

TILLEN was founded in 2007 by three enthusiastic engineers with a passion for heavy constructions and lifting equipment. The company designs and delivers customized solutions for the safe and efficient handling of heavy constructions, such as those for wind farms, contributing to the energy transition. The team comprises experts in mechanical engineering and structural engineering. By pooling these skills, tailored solutions are created, manufactured, and implemented for handling heavy and unwieldy loads. The expertise extends beyond heavy lifting, serving various markets. Designs range from specialized equipment to supporting structures and other handling devices with diverse applications. In addition to engineering, an increasing part of our activities involves manufacturing our designs, ultimately delivering complete solutions to customers. This process includes visiting the manufacturing workshop, devising and conducting tests, and participating in the final acceptance by the customer.

In addition to vacancies for Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and Structural Engineers, we are always looking for CAD Engineers, Design Engineers, and Project Managers. Please send your application to tim.huele@tillen.com.
