Vacancy

Our vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly without the involvement of staffing agencies and recruiters. We do not engage with freelancers; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

As a Structural Engineer at TILLEN, you will work on engineering projects focused on developing tools for handling heavy and often difficult-to-manage objects. Your primary responsibilities include setting up and analyzing computational models based on (concept) designs from the Design Engineer. Together, you will translate customer requirements and issues into realistic and economically viable solutions. This requires not only deep knowledge of construction techniques but also creativity and problem-solving skills to develop innovative designs that meet specified requirements.

Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing strength and stiffness requirements based on classification standards and verifying the design against these requirements. You will prepare reports of calculation results for assessment by the relevant classification authority.

As a team member, you will also be involved in brainstorming process improvements within the organization. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, communication skills, and a proactive attitude to contribute to the success of complex engineering projects.

You will become part of the Structural team, consisting of a Team Leader, Senior Structural Engineers, and Junior Structural Engineers.

If you enjoy making calculations for structures, collaborating with various teams, and don't mind working under tight deadlines, then this job is for you.

Firsthand experience

The Project Manager requests a strength verification of a design for a specific machine. How do you approach this?

The goal of the verification calculation is to check the strength of the concept design so that it can be further developed into a final design. For this, a computational model needs to be set up in collaboration with your colleagues from the Design team, using project requirements as guidelines. This model is then used to simulate loads and predict the behavior of the machine under these loads. Ultimately, the results are reported to the Project Manager.

Growth

There is no rigid format for your career path. Depending on your ambitions, experience, and needs within the company, you can develop yourself in various directions. Tillen is growing rapidly, and we want our colleagues to benefit from this growth and grow with us. To support this, we allocate budget and time so that everyone can flourish in a challenging environment where they can thrive best.

Working at TILLEN

Our vacancies are exclusively aimed at candidates who wish to join us directly without involvement from staffing agencies and recruiters. We do not engage with freelancers either; acquisition based on these advertisements is not appreciated.

TILLEN was founded in 2007 by three enthusiastic engineers with a passion for heavy constructions and lifting equipment. The company designs and delivers customized solutions for the safe and efficient handling of heavy constructions, such as those for wind farms, contributing to the energy transition. The team comprises experts in mechanical engineering and structural engineering. By pooling these skills, tailored solutions are created, manufactured, and implemented for handling heavy and unwieldy loads. The expertise extends beyond heavy lifting, serving various markets. Designs range from specialized equipment to supporting structures and other handling devices with diverse applications. In addition to engineering, an increasing part of our activities involves manufacturing our designs, ultimately delivering complete solutions to customers. This process includes visiting the manufacturing workshop, devising and conducting tests, and participating in the final acceptance by the customer.

In addition to vacancies for Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and Structural Engineers, we are always looking for CAD Engineers, Design Engineers, and Project Managers. Please send your application to tim.huele@tillen.com.
